One of Hell’s Kitchen’s most exceptional superheroes will be returning soon. It is unclear when his epic return will take place but we are sure that it will have a familiar face in it.
In an interview, Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios confirmed that MCU fans are about to see Daredevil in future projects. He affirmed Charlie Cox—the actor who played Matt Murdock on Daredevil’s excellent series from 2015-2018—would absolutely be reprising his role as a lawyer without sight but whose four remaining senses have been heightened to superhero levels.
“If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil,” Feige told the outlet. “Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen.”
However, it is unclear whether or not Cox—as well as his fellow superhero acts Jon Bernthal (Punisher), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Finn Jones (Iron Fist), and Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones)—would return to the Marvel Universe. Mainly for the reason that Netflix produced their shows under the now-nonexisting Marvel Television umbrella that has been bygone with the current Disney+ programming.
You might have heard of a new character introduced on Disney+’s Hawkeye show. She’s known as Maya Lopez’s Echo, and she will be played by Alaqua Cox. This might be the hint that Daredevil is finally going to be reintroduced in the folds of the current MCU narrative. Because Echo is closely tied to one of the major antagonists in Daredevil: Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin.
Despite being a small detail, the fan frenzy surrounding Spiderman: No Way Home’s first trailer has been intense. It features an interrogation scene of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker with an unidentified man—which may lead us into guessing who this is. Fans suspected this was Cox.
“I can promise you those are not my forearms,” Cox told an interviewer, actively debunking the rumors of his inclusion in the film.
