Following the enormous success of Marvel’s Loki, fans have been eagerly anticipating the show’s second installment. In a reaction interview with ET, creator Michael Waldron and star Tom Hiddleston hinted what fans may expect from the future season of the smash program, adding gasoline to the fire.
Hiddleston said during the interview, “We’ll get started right away. Almost immediately after I leave this room. “We’ll definitely go in the summer,” he said, “not exactly, but it’s around the corner.”” The actor expressed his excitement to return to the God of Mischief grind, saying he was “excited to get the band back together,” referring to his co-stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Ravonna Renslayer) and Owen Wilson (Mobius M. Mobius), who have both been confirmed to return to the set of the series for a second season.
Meanwhile, Waldron previewed what fans can look forward to in the upcoming season “It’s basically a continuation of the character’s evolution, without being too detailed. That was always essential to Tom, and it was important to me as well.” “If we’re going to continue [the first season plot] in a second season,” he explained, “we have to cover new emotional territory.” “And the amazing news is that that character keeps exposing new levels of richness and complexity,” he added.
“Everything that transpired in this movie there’s definitely some branches spreading all over the place,” Waldron said of how the events of Doctor Strange 2 will effect the season.
Tom Hiddleston discussed his Marvel villain Loki, the God of Mischief, coming out as bisexual in his titular series in a recent interview with The Guardian, via ET Canada. The Disney Plus series premiered in 2021 and quickly captivated Marvel fans, who began rooting for the series’ wicked character and his eventual victory.
For those unaware, Loki exposed his sexuality in the most Loki way possible during a scene with Sylvie, his multiversal persona played by Sophia Di Martino. “I hope Loki coming out as bisexual was meaningful to individuals who recognized it,” Hiddleston said in an interview with the publication. He went on to explain how important the scene was not just for the audience but also for them as actors “It was only a first step, and there is still a long way to go. However, it was critical for all of us.”
Reacting in a tweet, director Kate Herron also put forth her thoughts on the scene previously as she wrote, “From the moment I joined @LokiOfficial it was very important to me, and my goal, to acknowledge Loki was bisexual. It is a part of who he is and who I am too. I know this is a small step but I’m happy, and heart is so full,” as she attached snaps from the scene Loki comes out as being attracted to both men and women.
