Entrepreneur Wayne Liang Shares His 3 Tips for Success

The business industry is home to aspiring entrepreneurs who hope to make it big and stake their claim within the cutthroat world of business. It’s often a difficult and daunting task, especially for those who are tackling things head-on for the first time. Having a successful mentor and business coach is a huge benefit for aspirants. Luckily, we got to sit down with the founder and managing director of Liang Holdings, Wayne Liang, and asked him to share some of his tips to success that have helped him rise to one of Forbes’ top-ranked entrepreneurs.

Q: Can you tell us how you got started on building your own business empire?

“When I first started Liang Holdings, I had zero knowledge in the investment industry. I had great e-commerce and marketing skills, but that’s a completely different sector. A few years later, my firm has now successfully assisted in numerous IPOs, and holds significant equity in dozens of companies,” he shared. “There’s no perfect time to start. While you may be waiting for the imaginative perfect moment, others are already launching, executing, and learning. They’re now ten steps ahead of you.”

Q: What is your advice to aspiring entrepreneurs who have just developed an idea for their brand and can’t wait to share it with the rest of the world?

“Don’t announce what you’re going to do.”

Wayne Liang advises entrepreneurs to stay silent about their plans of action until they’ve already executed the idea. “You’re essentially taking credit for something you haven’t done yet. It might give you a wrong sense of accomplishment just because you came up with the idea. Accomplishment comes when the task has been completed,” said Wayne.

Q: First-time entrepreneurs who have yet to dive into the world of business often get cold feet. Is there anything you can share with them to help them get started on their journey?

“Just do it.”

“Entrepreneurs should have the mindset of just doing it without the proper resources, knowledge, or experience,” said Liang. “Learning along the way will teach you the most about the business. You’ll definitely make mistakes along the way, but the more mistakes you make, the better you’ll become at creating the perfect product or executing an idea.”

Q: Any tips for entrepreneurs who have gotten past the birth pains of starting their brand and are now focusing on building it up and scaling it?

“Be conscious of your daily routine.”

“The secret to your future is hidden in your routine,” stated Liang. “People don’t realize that the lives they are living now are either a positive outcome or consequence of their past routine, actions, and decisions. If you make the marginal adjustments to improve your productivity on a daily basis, it’ll lead to dramatic changes over time, guaranteed.”

These are three tips from the mind of the business magnate Wayne Liang. In the short but insightful conversation we’ve had with him, we were able to condense his knowledge and paint a full picture of what it meant to run a successful business. They say the road to success is never easy, but the wisdom that Liang has shared with us will surely go a long way.
