The Los Angeles Marathon sends approximately 25,000 runners on a 26.2-mile point-to-point course from Dodger Stadium to Century City, crossing some of the most recognizable neighborhoods and landmarks in the United States along the way. The race, first held in 1986 and now owned by The McCourt Foundation, is the largest marathon in the western half of the country and one of the few major marathons that requires no qualifying time and operates no lottery.
