Jermaine Rivers Joins the Star-Studded Cast of “Black Adam” and is Poised to have a Breakout Year in 2023

Film and television enthusiasts along with Hollywood gatekeepers have been keeping a watchful eye on the career of actor Jermaine Rivers. For over a decade he’s been working diligently, building his brand and reputation in the film industry. Early in his career Rivers took small bit roles in low budget and independent films, many of which never saw the light of day or, was released through small media platforms.

This time around the world will see Rivers as he graces the silver screen in his role in this year’s most anticipated film”Black Adam” as it makes its theatrical release on 21 October. Dwayne Johnson plays the titular role of Black Adam, along with his supporting but star studded cast: Pierce Brosnan (Dr Fate) and Aldis Hodge (Hawkman). Rivers is no stranger to the superhero genre, the Atlanta based actor is best known for his recurring role as Shatter on Marvel’s series “The Gifted”, a drama that was set in the X-Men universe. Last year Rivers officially became part of the MCU when he doubled as (Jamie Fox’s) Electro in “Spider-Man No Way Home”. 

With roles in both the MCU and DCEU under his belt, Rivers is well on his way to becoming a house-hold name. Over the years we’ve seen him grow as an actor, from having bit parts to landing supporting roles in some of the highest grossing films like “Den of Thieves” and “Hangman”. The big screen isn’t the only place where Rivers is making his mark, he’s also waging a successful campaign in Network TV and popular streaming services as well like: Power Book III: Raising Kanan (Starz), and most recently his recurring role as (Charles Perkins) in Netflix’s hit series “Sweet Magnolias”.

2022 has undoubtedly been Rivers’ Breakout year but 2023 is shaping up to be even more impressive. Look for him next year as he takes on lead and supporting roles in the following films slated for release: “A Party to Die For” a suspense thriller produced by MarVista Entertainment and “Freedom’s Path” a Civil War epic directed by Brett Smith.
