Taylor Rochestie Inspiring Others to Pursue Positive Living

To many people all over the world, basketball is more than a game. It’s a lifestyle and culture that has inspired others to become more motivated, competitive, and purposeful. That certainly is the case for the professional athlete and motivational speaker Taylor Rochestie. When he isn’t on the court playing the game he loves, he’s on a stage captivating and inspiring others through his valuable insight and life lessons.

Born in America but naturalized as a Montenegrin, Taylor made it big as a basketball player in the Israel Basketball Premier League. He currently plays for the team Hapoel Haifa as a point guard. Before entering the top Israeli basketball club, Taylor also played for several teams in the Euro League. After seven years in Europe’s biggest club, he finished with an average of just over twenty-five minutes of play and over thirteen points a ball game, along with 4.6 assists.

In 2004, Taylor Rochestie entered Tulane University as a college ballplayer for the Tulane Green Waves. He would later transfer to Washington State University, where he would play from 2007 to 2009.

But beyond the court, Taylor has found a new calling and purpose in life- to inspire others to win outside of sports and carry that mentality into every aspect of their life. The player and motivational speaker exists most for those who feel like they’re on the losing end of the stick, maintaining that being an underdog has its upsides. “My role in basketball, and in life, is to be the underdog,” Taylor shares. “This way, I will always remember to be my best, with a passion for life, never taking a moment for granted.”

In recent times, Taylor launched a program called the New 20/20 Vision, a school of thought that aims to promote living life with a positive and proactive lens. The program’s beginnings started with conceptualizing a book of the same title, which teaches people lessons that help cultivate joy, reprogram the mind, and live life with authenticity. Through his book, programs, and other motivational content, Taylor Rochestie hopes to bring life to those who feel challenges have them cornered. His book, A New 20/20 Vision: Cultivate Joy, Reprogram Your Mind, and Define Life Through An Authentic Lens, was recently published on February 22, 2021, and is already hitting number 1 on Amazon.

Taylor’s message comes at a timely juncture. As many people face the backlash of the global pandemic and try to bounce back from job loss, business closure, mental issues, grief, and other trials, Taylor offers a message that leaves people inspired despite the challenges. Even as every individual faces the uncertainty and volatility of these unprecedented times, the author and professional sportsman aspires to give people the internal tools and resources necessary to design their future.

“A New 2020 Vision gives you the ability to see the world through a new lens, using a positive filter to reprogram the way you experience life,” shares Taylor Rochestie. “Don’t wait for tomorrow to make that change happen. You can attain it now.”

Today, the professional athlete turned speaker has found his true north in using his platform and influence to elevate others. He does this by providing people with the proper frame and mindset to experience personal victories.

Taylor has traveled worldwide as a basketball player and has lived in twelve countries throughout a lifetime. He is also a proud husband and father.
